Your calculations stay here
Float Calculator is provided by Timastra (Edsel Apostol). Float does not collect or transmit your calculations, formulas, notebooks, notes or clipboard contents. These stay on your device. There are no Float accounts, ads or analytics. Buying and verifying optional Float Pro requires connectivity; ordinary calculations and verified Pro tools work offline.
Local storage and deletion
Your current expression, preferences, window position and latest 500 completed calculations are stored in private app storage. Pro formulas, notebooks, notes and a verified purchase receipt are also stored locally. They remain until you change or delete them. History entries can be deleted in History; formulas and notebooks can be deleted in Float Pro. Shared export files stop being accessible after 24 hours and cached copies are removed on a later share; copies saved or sent to other apps remain under your control there. Android backup is disabled. Clear this app’s storage in Android Settings or uninstall it to remove all local app data, including any preserved unreadable state snapshots.
Clipboard
Copy and paste use Android’s clipboard when you request them. Content you copy may be accessible to other apps under Android’s clipboard rules. Float does not send clipboard content to a server.
Floating window permissions
Display-over-other-apps access lets you open the calculator above other apps. It does not let Float read their screen contents. A foreground service runs only while your floating window or restore bubble is visible. Notification permission enables a notification with a close action. You can close the window or revoke permissions in Android Settings; the regular calculator works without floating access.
Android and Google Play
Android and Google Play may process installation, security or diagnostic information under their own policies and your settings. Float does not share your local calculation data. For optional Pro purchases, Google Play processes payment and purchase records. A verification service hosted on Cloudflare checks the Play purchase token and issues a signed entitlement. It retains a token hash, product, verification time and license/revocation state while this permanent product is supported, not payment-card details or your calculations. Cloudflare processes network metadata to deliver and protect that service; short-lived IP rate limits prevent abuse. Google Cloud Pub/Sub delivers purchase and refund notifications; undelivered messages are retained for up to 24 hours. Refund notifications update license status. Verified access is cached on-device for offline use; reinstalling can restore purchases from the same Google Play account. Preview builds simulate checkout locally and never charge. Export shares only what you explicitly choose to save or send through Android; your chosen storage or sharing app has its own policy.
